rc Time

Good day everybody,

this is not about remote controlled sailing boats, or remote controlled cars.

This is about our LinuxMCE 810 RELEASE CANDIDATE.

Since middle of 2008, when PlutoHome stopped doing development for LinuxMCE, a chosen few have gone to great length, to take over LinuxMCE, and to produce the FIRST fully community maintained version of LinuxMCE. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours have been spend programming, bug hunting, user supporting, and documenting everything for LinuxMCE. We have had help from the fine folks at Dianemo namely totallymaxed and Uplink, where totallymaxed has been extremely helpful in the forum, and Uplink has helped on the development side with fixing stuff, only a developer with great insight into the code base and great coding skills could have done.

Dear Linuxmce community,

The call for the hunt has been answered, and the results are promising.

The spoils of the hunt

Open defects have been decimated because of the efforts of all our hunters, nice work!
Asterisk seems to work now, but please be critical, post bugs if you find any.

The hunt is on!

Dear Linuxmce community,

The hunt is on, the hunt for the last bugs. Come and join the hunting party.
Take a look at this list from svn and try to confirm, add and/or solve these bugs keeping 0810 from releasing.
All levels of users can participate, try to reproduce the bugs to see if they are still there and report any findings, even confirmation that the bug still exists is useful. Also new bugs should be added, but check the list first though.

Why this hunt?

We (and you) want to release 0810.
